The Australasian Wire Industry Association Inc. is a non-profit organisation formed by companies involved in the manufacturing sector to support the long term development and prosperity of the wire industry throughout the Australian, New Zealand, Pacific and South East Asian region.
Member companies are involved in all aspects of the industry from wire manufacturers and raw material suppliers, to wire products manufacturers, machinery suppliers and ancillary service providers.
The Association’s inaugural meeting was held on the 4th March 1993 in Melbourne, Australia. The founding members were coil spring manufacturers who were members of the Spring Manufacturers Association of Australia which had been formed in 1963.
The Association has now grown to include around 100 companies involved within the wire industry throughout the region. We now have additional sub associations to give specific information and services to these groups.
All members belong to the AWIA and can also nominate themselves to be a listed as a member of any of the sub associations.
These above-mentioned sub associations include: Australasian Wire Industry Association (AWIA), Australasian Fence Industry Association (AFIA), Reinforcing Steel Manufacturers Association (RSMA) and Temporary Fencing Association Australasia (TFAA).
SAPIA’s link with Australasian Leisure Management sees the Association recognise the magazine as its ‘Official Publication’, with all SAPIA members receiving a copy of the printed magazine (mailed six times a year) as a membership benefit.
SAPIA members can also receive the Australasian Leisure Management e-news with the latest news from across the industry by signing up at www.ausleisure.com.au/newsletter/

For over 30 years the Australian Sports Foundation has helped clubs and organisations from the grassroots and community level, to professional and elite national level, and individual athletes to fundraise for sport.
They have helped raise over $300 million in additional funding for Australian sport which has resulted in more opportunities for people to participate in sport at all levels.
With almost 2,000 projects and 1,200 organisations and athletes signed up, they received $32 million from more than 9,800 donations in 2016 alone!
Fundraising4Sport (F4S) is their main fundraising program and it is just that; fundraising for large organisations through to individual athletes, from grassroots to professional and representative levels.
And they want to help you and your clients too!
Each project is set up with their very own personalised project page and secure donation platform which they can then share with their communities to raise awareness.
The Australian Sports Foundation is uniquely positioned to enable philanthropic support to Australian sport by providing tax deductibility for donations made to projects signed up. This means that donations of $2 or more made through the Australian Sports Foundation allow donors to claim a tax deduction.
